It has been so long that some WIPs I had a few weeks ago are no longer in progress, but finished, and I've neglected to share... ooopsie... I'll have to write a post about what else I have been up to, but for now here are some current WIPs above.
The top left is going to be a traditional baby blanket, made from a lovely Wool/Mohair/Alpaca/Silk yarn.
Top right, well they're pretty much finished... well... except for those ends that need sewing in on the retro circles... I really MUST do it as I go with my next blanket.
Bottom left IS my next blanket (well, next after the cream one above it), and no I've not been sewing in the ends as I go. I'll go into greater detail with this blanket later as its had to take a back seat for now.
Bottom right is pink, quite offensively pink. Not sure if this project will take off as the rest of the yarn needed to trail my idea seems to have gone walkabout somewhere around the globe.
Ive also been to a fantastic place in Sydney, Reverse Garbage, and picked myself up some old coffee sacks. I have an idea that should be pretty fun to work with once I can put down the crochet hook and set up the sewing machine (sewing again? I know, huh? Utterly INSANE.... well, for me).
ALSO! Ive had some fantastic pics of 'retro circles' blankets & bumpy rainbows coming through to me! SO AWESOME! I will share with you when I can, as long as the owners allow me to. If you have something you want to share feel free to send it through to me via email here or Facey OR even on Instagram, my names @threebeansinapod .
So what have you been up to?? Do tell!
x Adele
Your retro circles blanket is just gorgeous, you've inspired me to make another blanket (it's been a little while since my last blanket & I just hadn't found a pattern I liked for a new one). At the moment though, I have a very chunky red floor mat on the go, made from cotton household tie. I've also started a lace cluster snood in a lovely country style wool. Love your blog :) Mandy
ReplyDeleteAdele, I already feel like we could be friends. :) I am a stay at home mom to two boys (2 years old and 5 months old). I live in the US, and have a love of crochet (my grandma taught me when I was little), sewing, and I am trying to learn how to knit. I saw that you have three boys. How fun! I love your blog and can't wait to read more!
