Tick!

Fiiiinnnnished! I can finally tick the retro circles pram blanket off my list. I really like how it turned out with just the two circle colours, I was worried it would be a bit boring.
Debbie Bliss Cashmerino (merino/cashmere/micro fibre) for the circles and bordered in 100% Australian wool. Measures approx 61x87cm (24x34.5 inches)

...And a traditional receiving blanket (wool/alpaca/mohair/silk) measuring approx 68x71cm (27x28 inches). Such texture to this blanket, yarn and stitch.

These guys will be listed in my Madeit.com.au store later today.

A trip to the country.

We're back from our holiday on the New South Wales South Coast. We had a great time, although utterly exhausting!

It's such a lovely part of Australia (then again, I think everywhere in Oz is pretty special - bias much?).

Lots of gorgeous green countryside and sparkling beaches.

I managed a little crochet during the road trip, took over 4 hours to make one cup cosy, pretty good considering I was also serving food/drinks, entertaining & refereeing three boys at the time.

We spent most of our time at the beach but also managed a trip to Mogo Zoo where the boys got to feed giraffes! Super cool!

Lots of 'Oh look boys! Horsies!/Cows!/Sheep!" Even spotted a mob of Kangaroos (that was pretty exciting for us city folk). I don't think Harry believed me about the Kangaroos as he piped up "Look mummy, look! An Ele-fa-ment!!" Gotta love a two & a half year old imagination.

You can find some more info on this part of NSW here

OH! AND! its been such crazy weather around here lately that yesterday (or the day before perhaps??) it was snowing about 1.5 hours from where we were enjoying the beach just last week. Nutso! Glad we got the Summer weather.

Hope everyone has had a fab week,
x Adele
